Daily Tasks/Shared Living

Cornerstone Community Services is also able to provide assistance to 

participants living in shared or community housing. 

Our specialised and highly trained staff have the right skills and abilities 

to meet the needs of individuals with complex care needs. We have practical 

skills as well as the personal capabilities to provide competent and caring 

support that puts our participants at the centre of everything we do. Our 

aim is for everyone to be able to live independently, and that’s why our 

daily living support enables our participants to live the life that they 

choose. We are committed to helping and empowering participants to complete 

their daily activities in their home and community. Providing personal care 

and daily living support.

Our support staff can drop in any day of the week to help participants 

with personal care and daily living support. 

Our supports includes but not limited to:

•Assistance with forensic supports.

•Helping with your budgeting needs.

•Maintaining social skills as well as positive family and peer 

relationships.

•Assisting you with both written and oral communication. 

•Helping with completing forms, paying rent and other bills as and when 

due.

•Providing hands-on assistance with household tasks such as meal 

preparation. gardening and any other domestic tasks.

•Assisting you with shopping.

•Supporting you to attend appointments.

•Maintaining good neighbourliness, health and general wellbeing.

 We can also support you to learn the skills needed for a range of daily 

activities in the comfort of your home as we support you to utilise every 

ability  you  have  even  in  your  disability.  These  supports  could  also  be 

provided by Cornerstone Community Services to participants with complex needs 

as long as you have been assessed and approved for such support. Personal 

activities can include:

•Bathing or Showering

•Dressing

•Personal hygiene

•Toileting

•Getting in and out of bed

•Support with eating

•Walking around the house

At Cornerstone Community Services, we offer supported independent living to 

individuals with disabilities to help them enjoy a place that you can call 

home  whilst  maintaining  and  building  your  independence.  24/7  Supported 

independent living allows you to enjoy the privacy of your own bedroom as 

well as shared spaces to give you companionship with people that have common 

interest as you.
