Our upskilled and empowered team members provide tailored and individualised
packages of care and support. They focus on enabling people with disabilities
and other needs to live a valued life - the life they choose both at home
and within the community.
Cornerstone Community Services team members are skilled communicators, who
listen to the people we support and champion their choices. They look for
creative solutions in supporting greater independence and opportunities for
increasing community participation and involvement.
Our support workers are trained to identify triggers and recognise early
behavioural indicators so that appropriate intervention can be deployed to
prevent crisis from occurring. Our pro-active style improves the quality of
life of our clients and their families, reducing social barriers and enabling
a more active and fulfilling lifestyle.
We don't have a 'standard' approach at Cornerstone - all our personal support
and services start with us spending time to understand a participant as an
individual. Our response is committed to making life better for people with
disabilities.
Our trained staff are trained to:
•Respect for clients’ rights
•Promotion of their freedom of choice and independence
•Respecting their wishes and decisions, even if one disagrees
• Listening and taking into consideration what they say
